The Day begins 7:30am |
The first one to arrive, Rick Myers of
the Yahoo Torino Club. Rick did this entire car himself, even the
paint. |
Paul Erlandson of the FCA and his 1962
Meteor. Paul brought his son who really was a delightful kid. |
Rick Myers in front of his beautiful
1970 Torino Cobra.. |
Steve Mellott of the Torino 429 forum
1970 Torino Cobra. Steve came all the way from southwest Iowa to
join us at the cruise. We were glad he did. |
The 3 Caballeros...or would it be the
3 Cobras? Not to often you see 3 in row like this. |
A local guy who's name I can't
remember. If you see this, send me an email with your name. |
Eric Brandenburg of the FCA and his
beautiful 67 Fairlane convertible. |
Everybody knows Linc of the FCA by his
many postings. This is his 67 Mustang. |
A local guy and friend of mine, Harry
Brown and his 72 Torino. Harry has had this car for about 23 years
or so, since high school. |
My neighbor, Chuck Grech and his 67
Cobra reproduction. Car has a 460 and puts out 535hp. |
This guy stopped in for a chat.
According to the owner, this car is putting out about 900hp |
Another local guy, Bill Constadine and
his 63 Fairlane. Bill was zipping back and forth from our spot to
the State Fair Grounds which had a huge car show going on. |
A good friend since high school days,
Dennis Warren and his Monte Carlo. We made Dennis park his Chevy
down at the end of the lot (sorry Dennis). |
Another local guy who's name escapes
me and his Cougar. At the time this car was for sale for I believe
$16,500. |
One of the few Torinos driving by , a
71 GT. |
Another drive by, a 1971 Torino 500,
just like the one I had in high school, minus the chrome reverse and
baby moons. |
A 1972 Torino station wagon.
This car was really neat.
See I am not prejudice, I included a
Chevy. However I took this picture because of the front seat
passenger...actually it was a very nice......car. |
Late arrivals, Larry Zobeck of the FCA
and a good friend, and his 1971 Torino GT. Larry wins trophies
everywhere he goes, as he should. |
With Larry came Ron Tuttle and his 71
GT. Ron won 1st place at the FCA Nationals last year in the
unrestored category. Ron just sold this car recently, what a shame
(shame I couldn't buy it!). |
Alas the day is over... |
