The Woodward Cruise 2000, what a great day!  It was a Fairlane Club of America mini-meet, a Yahoo! Torino club meet, a Fairlane Digest meet, and the Torino 429 Forum meet all wrapped up in one.  I got the entire front row of Ed Schmidt Ford's used car lot for our us and what a great time it was.  As you can see from the pictures, we were "down in the front row" for all the action.  My sincerest thanks to all that could make it this year, and I hope we can arrange to do it again next year.  I was amazed at the number of people who just walked up and said "hey aren't you the guy with the web site?.  We recognize you by the orange car".  Well you made my day because that means what I am trying to do is succeeding.

Another drive by, a 1971 Torino 500, just like the one I had in high school, minus the chrome reverse and baby moons.

See I am not prejudice, I included a Chevy.  However I took this picture because of the front seat passenger...actually it was a very nice......car.

woodward2000_28.jpg (59809 bytes)

Late arrivals, Larry Zobeck of the FCA and a good friend, and his 1971 Torino GT.  Larry wins trophies everywhere he goes, as he should.

woodward2000_29.jpg (62343 bytes)

With Larry came Ron Tuttle and his 71 GT.  Ron won 1st place at the FCA Nationals last year in the unrestored category.  Ron just sold this car recently, what a shame (shame I couldn't buy it!).
