The Gratiot Cruise is the east side of Metropolitan Detroit's equivilent of the Woodward Cruise.  Although not as big as the Woodward Cruise, it is gaining in popularity and growing each year.  As a matter of fact I grew up cruising Gratiot in the early 70's.  Friday and Saturday nights were always exciting racing against the Chevelles, Cudas, Road Runners, Mustangs, and GTOs.   Currently the Motor City is BOOMING with classic cars!  There are cruise nights every day of the week somewhere in the area.  A typical casual Sunday night get together at Woody's or Fudrucker's in the parking lot might turnout 100 cars!  A real event such a USMA (United Street Machine Association) could turn out a 1000 cars!   This years Gratiot Cruise will be even larger and I will be there with camera in hand to capture it all.
