Carlisle May 2003

"Mike, I have attached more pictures from Carlisle. I didn't get to film or snap any pics yesterday (Saturday) as all it did was rain. I must have wiped down my car no less then six times only to have to roll up the windows take down my display board and run for cover under my tent and do it all over again. Bill Shenk (designer of the Torino for Ford was nice enough to stop by and say hello to everyone. He also autographed mine and a few others Deck lids on the underside. He was really a great guy and full of stories and info regarding the Torino. According to him the car was named by Henry Ford for the city that he met his wife in. I have also attached some of Mr. Shenk's early drawings from his personal collection which was on display. The state of Michigan was very well represented with no less then 5 or 6 cars. Torino were present from West Virginia, North Carolina, New York, Florida, Ohio, and PA. I was Fortunate enough to take home a 2nd place which I am very happy with as there were several cars that could have done the same. I shot ten plus minutes of raw film and I will be editing it this week I should have it to you no later then Tuesday.  write you soon,   Tony Intrieri"
